"You can achieve good privacy in Lightning. You cannot achieve very good privacy on-chain. People are sleeping on this because Lightning has not been sold as a privacy tool initially. But even now there is Super Testnet; you can follow Super Testnet triggering Monero Bros on Twitter because he will say, 'Do a Monero transaction, I will do a Lightning one. Now you tell me how much you can say about my transaction. I will do the same.' And of course, he can say more about the transaction graph even if there are ring signatures and amounts are hidden. Of course, he's cheating a little bit because he's using this kind of proxy services for invoices. But potentially speaking, Lightning is way more private and also more censorship resistant than on-chain. If miners are going to start censoring blocks, the off-chain economy can actually go on for a while before even needing an on-chain settlement. And miners cannot do shit about off-chain transactions." ~ Giacomo Zucco Listen to Chat_162 with Giacomo Zucco on Bitcoin Audible, available on all major platforms: š Fountain: https://fountain.fm/episode/bhPzNOjp0vOxhzf5iurM š YouTube: https://youtu.be/ATvWS_9wNfk š Rumble: https://rumble.com/v76zxu2-chat-162-plan-b-el-salvador-with-giacomo-zucco.html #Bitcoin #BTC #BitcoinCommunity #BitcoinAdoption #BitcoinNetwork #DigitalGold #SoundMoney #TechInnovation #FutureTech #DisruptiveTechnology #BitcoinRevolution #MonetarySovereignty #BitcoinEconomy #LightningNetwork #BitcoinPhilosophy #PeerToPeer #BitcoinMovement #BitcoinFuture #SovereignMoney #BitcoinTechnology #OpenSource #FreedomMoney #BitcoinMining #21Million #SoundMoneyRevolution #FixTheMoney #FinancialFreedom #FutureOfMoney #BitcoinEducation
