Show Notes
This episode focuses on Bitcoin’s position relative to its long term power curve, with special attention on valuation in gold terms and what current percentiles actually signal. Matthew begins by addressing market anxiety and shows that while Bitcoin remains about 20 percent below its trend, it is sitting exactly at the median. Historically, this is a normal statistical position, not an extreme. He explains why a 0.8x multiple of trend is a fifty percent event and why this matters more than short term price swings. The most striking section centers on Bitcoin priced in gold. Matthew shows that Bitcoin is now at the lowest percentile it has ever reached relative to gold, even lower than 2012 and 2022 on a proportional basis. While Bitcoin trades near 20 to 22 ounces of gold, the percentile position is effectively at the floor. He explores why gold’s recent 40 percent annualized rise cannot be sustained long term based on supply growth and central bank accumulation, which has increased only marginally over the past decade.
