Bitcoin’s UX is still far from where it needs to be. In this talk, Conor from Spiral reframes the challenge through the lens of people, products, and payment protocols, arguing that design should start with real human needs and work backward to protocol. Drawing from examples like remittances from Los Angeles to Guatemala and freelance payments in Lagos, he highlights how Bitcoin can become both a secure savings tool and a seamless medium for everyday transactions. The session explores design questions around QR codes, payment links, human-readable names, and flexible flows for saving, sending, and spending, laying out a roadmap for building products that make Bitcoin practical for billions.
