At Presidio Bitcoin's Quantum Bitcoin Summit Sho Sugiura, physicist and CEO of Blocq, delivered a walkthrough of the current quantum computing landscape from error rates and hardware architectures to credible roadmaps for cryptographically-relevant quantum computer (CRQCs). He emphasizes that while we’re not at a breaking point yet, the underlying stack, from middleware to SDKs to photonic scaling, is maturing fast and Bitcoin's ECDSA is one of the lowest-hanging cryptographic targets for a quantum attacker.
